sentiments on a variety of community issues. Based on the survey
results it was
agreed upon by the Building & Neighborhood Revitalization Division and
NATHA that the MASH Department would, assist Pasadena Homeowners with
beautifying parkways in front of the homeowner’s property.
Training Opportunity
MASH provides a unique training program. It is an

work habits necessary to obtain a permanent job. Some trainees have obtained careers with
the City of Pasadena, while others have gone on to other places of employment. Flyers are
posted at City Hall in the Human Resources offices when recruiting. The application
procedure includes submitting an application, and passing both a written and physical
exam. An eligibility list is created from all qualified applicants. Qualified applicants
are them notified when positions are open for the one year (possibly two year) assignment.

Pasadena youth by promoting early development of key work skills. The
2006 Summer Youth Employment is a (6) week training program that begins
July 10, 2006 and Ends August 31, 2006. It provides paid summer work
experience for Pasadena Youth ages 14-21, from low to moderately

This Summer MASH had the help of 10 Summer
Rose Program participants. They were divided into the Painting
Crew or Yard Services and have been a great help to MASH as well as the
